In Bulgarian tradition, palm branches are replaced with willow branches — a symbol of new life, rebirth, and the arrival of spring. These branches are blessed for health and protection.

Palm Sunday, known in Bulgaria as Tsvetnitsa (Flower Day), is also a celebration of all names connected to flowers and nature. It is one of the most vibrant and life-filled traditions — honoring beauty, growth, and feminine energy.
